single bet calculator

Right — been on this thing for something like six months now and I keep coming back, reckon I'd say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I'm UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn't ever get my head round what an each way payout actually came to once you get five places instead of three. Basically I'd guess and get a shock. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it's over at lucky fifteen calculator and it's free with no account nonsense.

The thing that genuinely made a difference was the nerdier tools. The probability thing which shows you what margin's baked in, and there's the kelly tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutching one is handy too when I'm splitting a race.

It's not perfect mind. Its design looks a bit basic — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it's fine but the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — it's saved me a fair few "wait, that's it?" moments.
